We have just returned from a wonderful holiday in Sri Lanka. All the stresses of travel were wiped away by the care preparation and attention to detail given to our itinerary.From the moment our driver unloaded our cases at the airport we felt we were able to totally relax into the holiday. The hotles chosen were all interesting as well as very comfortable, never bland or international and the food was consistently delicious. Our itinerary was never overloaded but well thought through, fascinating mix of key sights and the quirky. Our second trip with Points South, so thank you for making this another memorable holiday for us.

We had a wonderful couple of weeks in Sri Lanka, the hotels were all terrific and the staff fantastic. perhaps due to your long-standing relationship we often ended up in the best room available, culminating in a huge suite at Galle Fort. Ajith our driver was extremely professional and a very skilled driver in un-predicable traffic. Thank you for organising our holiday, we have been wanting to go since pre-Covid and are so pleased to have seen this fabulous and beautiful country.

Jane organised a fantastic two-week holiday for us in Southern India. We are a family of 6 with 4 boys aged between 5 and 13, she managed to find things to keep us all entertained. The homestays were excellent, as was our driver Bennett. Our itinerary kept us well of the beaten tourist trail, we felt as if we had really escaped. The ground staff in India looked after us extremely well, meeting us of the train with smiles and helpful tips.

Thank you for arranging our never to be forgotten trip to Tamil Nadu and The Andaman Islands. Jess was our brilliant driver and guide, where we stayed in Pondicherry at La Villa and Chettinad at Visalam. both small and outstanding hotels. Moving onto the Andaman Islands, what a wonderful beach holiday at Barefoot and Jalakara, both very special. All four hotels had excellent food and wonderfully trained staff.

Converted royal palaces, heritage properties, ancient forts, iconic hotels, excellent city guides, seeing wildlife, witnessing rural village life, experiencing varied means of transport (flights, trains, cars), and yet time to chill and fall in love with the people and their culture. Swa Swara (Ayurvedic retreat) in Karnataka provided exactly what we expected. The pace of the place slows you right down. I loved the (almost) absence of wi-fi, TV, and phones. And the absence of children and families. The food was brilliant – I had three sessions in the kitchen. The massage was astonishing. Yoga at 07:00 for a beginner was a bit of a surprise on Day 1, but it has had such a beneficial effect that I have maintained the regime since returning, and intend to continue. The entire process took half a stone off me in a week, with no effort – simply sensible, managed eating and exercise. The swimming pool is as good as it gets. All told it was a powerful antidote to, and restorative from, a sometimes overly busy life here. Wouldn’t hesitate to warmly recommend it.

From the time that we were met at Chennai airport by Sanal, it was evident that Jane had organised a journey that had met both our needs and expectations- in fact, exceeded them! Our visit to Tamil Nadu and Kerala was a total success mostly thanks to Jane’s great knowledge of the area and thoughtfulness. We enjoyed a great mixture of culture with Tamil Nadu’s fascinating temples and amazing nature with the gentle beauty of Kerala. Our guide in Periyar Park was amazing.
Everywhere the people were exceptionally friendly and welcoming and we ate delicious food. Our driver Sanal was fantastic, always punctual, cheerful, and full of good ideas on what to do and where to eat. The whole experience was memorable enchanting and relaxing. Thank you.

Our trip to Karnataka and Kerala was an extraordinarily wonderful trip, with plenty of variety to keep everyone happy (6 of us), we stayed in fabulous hotels and homestays.
The Southern Indian people are charming and gentle, and we were able to begin to understand their way of life. We had an excellent driver, Bennet, his mini-bus became our second home! Jane was so helpful in helping us to plan our trip, she understood what we wanted from this holiday and completely delivered.

We had a lovely two weeks in Kerala, very much because of Jane’s planning. For us, the idea of “homestays” is perfect, allowing us to meet local people – as well as like-minded visitors. But it does depend on knowing where to go and which to choose. Here Jane’s great expertise is what you need – partly, of course, to protect you from the vagaries of the internet!
